The Atlantic Conservation Partnership has a new website

The Atlantic Conservation Partnership is committed to preserving vanishing ecosystems, habitats and species.
They support the development and research of scientists who share important findings at the cutting edge of marine conservation with colleagues around the world.

The ACP supports pioneering programs to protect and support marine and terrestrial environments around the world.  In collaboration with other leading environmental initiatives, the ACP ensures biodiversity by addressing the survival of species that depend on quality oceanic environments.  Central to our mission, the projects we support also provide opportunities for education and training of the next generation of leaders in marine conservation including:

  • The Bermuda Turtle Project supports a network for sea turtle biologists, environmentalists, students, and resource managers in the Western Atlantic-Caribbean region to promote the conservation of marine turtles through research and education.
  • The Bermuda Reef Ecosystem Assessment and Mapping (BREAM) Programme studies threats to coral reefs, which are some of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world.
  • Amphibian projects examine the health impact of environmental contaminants on frogs and toads and its meaning for the health of other species, including our own.
  • The Lionfish Project is a model for management of destructive invasive species.
  • The Diamondback Terrapin Project and the Cahow Recovery Project represent groundbreaking efforts to bring species back from the brink of extinction.

This was a great project for Capstone Labs in that we were able to combine our web development, IT consulting, programming skills with Studio Zenk and the Clients vision.  Please if you can take the time and examine all the things The Atlantic Conservation Partnership is doing for conservation and education.
